Khajoor Imli Ki Chutney ( Sonth)
Ingredients :
1. 100 gms Tamarind ( imli) ( de- seeded)
2. 50 gms dates( khajoor) ( de- seeded & chopped)
3. 50 gms sugar
4. Add jaggery ( gur) ( crushed)
5. 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
6. 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder ( roasted jeera powder)
7. Add salt with your taste according '
8. Add black pepper
9. Add Red chili powder ( to taste)
10. 2 cups water
Method
1. Wash and Soak Tamarind in 1 cup of water for 10 mins.
2. In a microwave safe bowl.
3. Microwave Tamarind with water at 100% for 3-4 mins.
4. Cool,strain and collect the pulp .
5. In another microwave safe bowl Add khajoor , Salt , Garam masala
6. Add Red chili , 1 cup water .
7. Microwave for 4-5 mins at 100% power
8. When softened , Add tamarind pulp
9. Add crushed jaggery and microwave at 80% power for 5-6 mins.
10. Sprinkle roasted cumin seeds powder.
11 When Cool , Strain the chutney and store in clean bottles.
Chef's Special : This chutney can be stored for a week
